Clarkeville & The Palmerstown House

In the 1920’s Clarkeville was O’Toole’s.  My Uncle Terry had great memories of the village back then.  He would say that to the locals it was always referred to as ‘Scatterems’ and the reason for this was that if a group of locals were standing outside the shop window Mr O’Toole would shout and roar at them ‘if you don’t clear off I’ll scatter the lot of you’
